FAQs

Answers before you ask

The questions families most often bring to their first conversation with us.

How soon after the burial can we begin?

There's no need to rush. Most cemeteries require a settling period before a permanent memorial can be installed — typically several months — but we can begin the design conversation and paperwork well before then, at whatever pace feels right for your family.

What documents do we need to provide?

You'll need your Right of Burial certificate for the grave. If you're not sure what that is or where to find it, we'll guide you through it — this is one of the first things we help with during your consultation.

How long does the whole process take?

Once the design is confirmed — stone colour, inscriptions, photos and all the final details — it's fairly standard to allow up to 12 weeks for the memorial to be completed. The part that varies is how long it takes a family to settle on that final design, which is entirely at your own pace; we're happy to guide you through it as quickly or as gently as you need.

Are cemetery fees included in your price?

Cemetery permit and approval fees are charged separately by the cemetery itself. We manage the application on your behalf and let you know the exact cost upfront, so there are no surprises.

What materials do you work with?

We work primarily in premium granite, available in a range of colours and finishes to suit any setting — see our stone options above. We're happy to talk through what suits your cemetery's requirements and your family's preference.

Can we choose our own wording, in any language?

Yes. We work with families to craft an inscription that feels right — in English or any other language or script — and can incorporate religious or cultural symbols where appropriate.

Is the work guaranteed?

Yes — every memorial we help create is built to last, and we stand behind the workmanship. We'll talk you through exactly what's covered during your consultation.
